Fragrance samples and decants of Maksim Perfume Liquid Incense. A bright airy incense that reminds me of sparkling water in a way. Despite being extremely resinous, it smells clean and light - wearable, mass appealing and versatile, yet still unique. If you have ever tried the Luban Al Akdar oil by Amouage, it reminds me of that! I absolutely love this.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, White Aldehydes
Heart Notes: Frankincense, Elemi
Base Notes: Cedarwood, Vetiver Haiti, Oud Trat
Olfactory Description:
The Last Breath of Two Worlds
Liquid Incense captures the feeling of a final formula created in the last golden light of Andalusia, where Arab and European worlds once met through architecture, science, ritual, and beauty. A scent of resin, citrus light, warm stone, dry woods, refined oud, and quiet atmosphere.
The opening is bright, dry, and full of clarity. Bergamot, pink pepper, and white aldehydes create a luminous spark, like golden light moving across limestone floors and glass vessels on an alchemist’s table.
As the scent settles, frankincense and elemi bring the fragrance into its resinous heart. This is not incense after it burns. It is incense before the flame: golden resin, warm air, polished tools, old manuscripts, and the stillness of a hidden chamber where memory is being preserved.
In the drydown, Liquid Incense becomes warmer, deeper, and more structured. Cedarwood and Haitian vetiver create a dry architectural base, while Oud Trat adds one final drop of refined darkness, like the rare oil that completes the formula without making it heavy.
The final impression is elegant, intelligent, and atmospheric. A luminous frankincense fragrance with citrus light, warm resin, dry woods, and quiet oud depth.
Liquid Incense is more than an incense perfume. It feels like resin turned into memory: bright, fluid, refined, and preserved before the flame.
